Meet Iglutheca’s staff!

From left to right: Clarissa Broken Rope, Robert “Bones” TrueBlood, Arlene Catches the Enemy, RaJuanna O’Rourke, and Abram Neumann

Iglutheca has some great staff! We found a group of people who truly care about the guests and who go above and beyond to help them!

Clarissa Broken Rope – Evenings and Overnights

I tease Clarissa that she loves us too much to go home! She is often at the shelter or even at my house on her time off. She occasionally helps make a meal for our guests and has organized multiple birthday celebrations for our shelter guests.

Robert “Bones” TrueBlood – Night Shift

Our guests are used to waking up at 7 AM to a loud “hoka hey!” which roughly translates to: “Let's do this.” Robert TrueBlood has been working for Iglutheca since December 2023! Clients have remarked about Robert’s sense of humor and how he helps them to start their day in a positive way.

Arlene Catches the Enemy – Logistics Coordinator

On Arlene’s first day, I knew she would be excellent: In a short few hours at the shelter, she had already identified needs in several of our shelter guests and was asking how to help them. She and RaJuanna are Iglutheca’s caseworkers, and they are doing great work. Arlene has a special place in her heart for clients with mental illnesses.

RaJuanna O’Rourke – Casework Lead

Homeless shelters can be tense places. Guests who have formerly medicated all their negative emotions with drugs or alcohol often have short fuses and are constantly paranoid about what others think or feel about them. RaJuanna has a great sense of humor, which cuts through that tension. She rapidly builds rapport with unhoused guests, enabling her to effectively administer consequences and discipline without making them feel like it is coming from an unkind place.

Could you help me pay these excellent workers?

Funds are tight! I had to reduce my staff from 5 to 4 for now to catch up on some other expenses. Please consider donating so that I can keep my staff and eventually hire an additional team member by the end of October.
